Heiner Goebbels. The Human Province
The German artist and stage director’s work falls between visual art and theater. One recent work, which the artist referred to as a play without actors, featured a pool of water lit like a stage set, placed in a room where a loud voiceover was playing. This exhibition centers on two new film installations, including “The Human Province,” a wall of video footage shot in cities across the world, and “Material.”
