Strange Brew

Some bewitching music sure to scare the neighbors on Halloween.

„This combination of theatrical-style narration (mostly in German, sometimes in English) and avant-garde music (performed by Goebbels and U.S. experimental music mavens such as trumpeter Don Cherry, trombonist George Lewis, and guitarists Fred Frith and Arto Lindsay) is tremendously amusing recorded cabaret. The music careens from warped Kurt Weillism to warped rock, and the German narration actually adds to the overall black-comedy atmosphere.“
